Automatic Café’ is refreshingly different. It brings to Bury an understated, modern British style, serving delicious food with a wine, malt and cocktail menu to die for and excellent service that diners have come to expect. Our customers tell us we are ‘super’ family friendly and have one of the best value kids menu’s around.
Our success makes us popular with locals, families, market shoppers, professionals, theatre goers and visitors to the town centre all week long. You can dine inside or alfresco, where our outside seating is perfect for soaking up the sun in the summer and absorbing the bustling town centre atmosphere all year round, especially on Market days (Wednesday, Friday & Saturday). Inside, our cosy MALT bar and vibrant restaurant area mixes dark woods with earthy colours presenting a modern eating and drinking experience.
Breakfast starts at 10am (12noon on Sundays), where we serve the best coffee in Bury and a refreshing choice of teas including TeaPigs tea bags. Try our popular specials; Bacon Sandwich & coffee for £2.50 ; Workers Lunch meal or Afternoon Tea. We serve a varied food & drink menu throughout the day, ever changing specials and seasonal menus. At night Automatic transforms into a late night lounge bar, a great place for pre-theatre drinks, an intimate dinner, or a night out with friends. You can enjoy chilled out background music, a moody candlelit atmosphere, while we serve up cocktails to die for, champagne by the glass or bottle, complemented by a food menu which offers informal late night bites or something more substantial.

 

Real Ale and Whiskey

Hidden away inside Automatic is Malt, our real ale & whiskey bar with a menu of 100 of the finest whiskies from around the world. Open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays from 5pm, it’s the perfect hang out for whiskey aficionados or those who enjoy a great pint, with a choice of 4 cask ales always available.

‘The Studio’ – catering and beyond

The studio is Automatics private function room, which can be hired out for anything from a christening to a wedding. With so many food options available, a capacity of 100, and the little extras taken care of for you, The Studio is the perfect place to party!
